For shame,deny that thou bearst love to any
羞於你對任何人都有愛意，
Who for thyself art so unprovident
對於自身卻如此少了遠慮。
Grant if thou wilt,thou art beloved of many
承認如你願眾人對你傾心，
But that thou none lovst is most evident
你卻昭然沒有愛人之應許。
For thou art so possessed with murdrous hate
你的心裡有著蓄意的怨恨，
That gainst thyself thou stickst not to conspire
毫無遲疑地將謀害著自身，
Seeking that beauteous roof to ruinate
試圖漸毀著你那漂亮殿堂，
Which to repair should be thy chief desire
而重建卻是你的迫切希望。
O,change thy thought,that I may change my mind
改變你想法而後我欲隨你！
Shall hate be fairer lodged that gentle love?
恨比愛豈更能在房中容身？
Be as thy presence is ,gracious and kind
像你外表一樣慷慨又仁慈，
Or to thyself at least kind-hearted prove
起碼對於你自己要有善心。
Make thee another self for love of me
若真愛我就另造一個自己，
That beauty still may live in thine or thee
讓美活在你身或另一個你。
