I lay my brush down like waves crash upon the sea/so many ideas I can hardly think
god degree
never thought that I would fall this deep
I'm not struggling for air cuz I wanna drown
as my body settles on the ocean floor without a sound
my father says I make him proud
but i don' t got a real idea what it takes to make it out
all the nervous energy got me shakin now
I signed up for this I can not quit I made a vow
makin up for all them lazy days that I laid around
onaje makin masterpieces when he play with sounds
glorious, I got chills when I laid this down
I'm not fittin in, I took a square peg and made it round
then cultivated a sacred style
as the negative thoughts race around
I'm jus spewin pain
ready for battle like the kumatay
navigatin the underground in a ruthless way
it's true you could say, my focus is selfish, cuz the only thought on my mind is what can I do today
cuz I been lost I never knew the way, all I ever had was this pen that's puttin truth to page
I'll find happiness if I can survive through the games
a Phoenix that rose up from the ashes through the flames
cuz if u fail then who's to blame
lookin in the mirror when I bring the traitor to the king
this is uncut thru the vein
like a seed planted in the soil I grew to change
rebuilt myself and renewed the frame
