The Man Who Couldn't Cry

There once was a man who just couldnt cry
從前有個不會哭的男人
He hadnt cried for years and for years

For instance could not produce tears

As a child he had cried as all children will
他小時候也會像其他孩子一樣放聲大哭
But at some point the tear ducts ran dry
但在某個時刻他的淚腺乾涸了
He grew to be a man and the feces hit the fan
他長成了一個男人，壞事接二連三發生
Things got bad but he couldnt cry
事情變糟他也不會哭
His dog got run over, his wife up and left him
他的狗被車撞，他的老婆甩了他
After that he got sacked from his job
在此之後他被老闆辭掉了
Lost an arm in the war, was laughed at by a whore

But still not a sniffle and sob

Well his novel was refused and his movie was banned

And his biog Broadway show was a flop

He was sent off to jail, you guessed it, no bail

But still not a dribble or drop

In jail he was beaten, bullied and buggered

And made to make licence plates

Water and bread was all he was fed

But not once did a tear stain his face

Doctors were called in, scientists too

Theologians were last and practically least

They all agreed sure enough

He was no cream puff

But in fact an insensitive beast

He was removed from jail and placed in a place

For the insensitiveand the insane
一個給傻子和瘋子住的地方
He played lots of chess and he made lots of friends
他在這裡常常下棋，交了很多朋友
And he wept every time it would rain
每次下雨他都會哭
Once it rained 40 days and it rained 40 nights
有一次連續下雨40天40夜
And he cried and he cried and he cried and he cried
他一直哭一直哭一直哭一直哭
On the 41st day he just passed away
在第41天他死了
He just dehydrated and died
因為嚴重脫水
He went up to heaven located his dog
他上了天堂找到了他的狗
Not only that but he rejoined his arm
還接上了胳膊
Down below all the critics , they took it all back
之前所有欠他的人，都得到了報應
Cancer robbed the whore of her charm
癌症讓之前嘲笑他的妓女不再美麗
His ex-wife died of stretch marks, his ex-employer went broke
他的前妻死於難產，他的老闆破產了
The theologians were finally found out
那些神學家終於知道
Right down to the ground, the prison burned down
那所監獄被燒毀了
The earth suffered perpetual drought
地球會承受永久的干旱
