Great to be Different

It was a dark day when I lost my faith
那是一個黑暗的日子，我失去了信仰
I wasn't the pony I thought I'd be
我並不是我所想的那匹小馬
And it seemed that no one could relate
似乎沒有人能理解
There was nothing left for me to see
我什麼也看不見了
So I took a walk to the edge of the town
因此我走到城郊去
And thought of leaving it all behind
想把一切拋在腦後
When I saw a little letter fall right out of the sky
當我看到一封信從天上掉下來
As a grey mare hovered way up high
一隻灰色的馬在高處盤旋
I thought I was crazy when I saw her wave
當我看到她揮蹄時，我以為我瘋了
And then simply fly away
然後她就飛走了
So I opened the letter and looked inside
於是我打開信往裡看
And what was written made my day...
裡面所寫的使我感到高興…
It said--
它說
Isn't it great to be different?
與眾不同不是很棒嗎?
Isn't it wonderful to be exactly who you are?
做真實的自己不是很好嗎?
When you learn to start accepting yourself
當你學會接受自己的時候

I turned around and I saw her at my door
我轉過身，看見她就站在我家門口
That cute grey mare with the wall-eyed stare
那隻可愛的灰色小馬瞪著我的眼睛
She said, 'I've heard you play and sing before.
她說:“我以前聽過你彈琴唱歌
And I heard a sadness I could not bear.'
我聽到一種我無法忍受的悲傷”
' I just wanted to tell you that the hardest thing I've faced
“我只是想告訴你我即使遇到最困難的事情
Wasn't the teasing or the pain
也不是取笑亦或暗自痛苦
It was convincing myself I wasn't stupid, strange, or lame
它讓我自己相信我不笨，不奇怪，也不蹩腳
And helping others do the same.'

These last few years flew by just like a blur
最近幾年，這一切就像一片模糊
I 'm now exactly where I should be
