It came upon the midnight clear,

傳來榮耀歌聲。
From angels bending near the earth,
天使俯身擁抱大地，
To touch their harps of gold:
雙手撥動豎琴。
'Peace on the earth, goodwill to men
地上平安人人友愛，
From heavens all gracious King!'
天降特殊恩情。
The world in solemn stillness lay
今晚世界沉寂之中，
To hear the angels sing.
傾聽天使歌聲。
Still through the cloven skies they come,

with peaceful wings unfurled,
