I guess she caught that plane early this morning
Cause that 'Ive decided to stay' call never came

Lord shes nearly back to
Asheville
Im staring out at a south
Georgia rain
Wonderin if
Ill ever touch her again
If there were only miles between us
Id be there in a good days drive
But the last time
I held her
I saw the distance in her eyes
She once crossed the
Blue Ridge
Mountains
And swore that shed be mine
But she never brought her heart across
The Carolina line
She always said this place felt just like home
But she had memories she never did unpack
