Than living in this cage

But I'm really not too sure
但是其實我不太確定啦
Because I'm rather short of age
我還是太小的一隻長頸鹿了
Joshua Giraffe was feeling kind of sad
小約書亞不太開心
Things were going bad
很多事情都不是太好
How little of life he had
鹿生太短，籠子又太小
Wasting away with no room to play
日漸瘦弱，無所事事，根本沒有地方讓他好好玩
Trapped in a zoo with buffalo too
被困在有水牛池子的動物園裡
So he went next door to the elephant
所以他跑去旁邊的大像那裡
And asked him what to do
問：“我該怎麼辦呀
I'm wasting away with no room to play”
你看我沒有地方玩還越來越瘦弱了
I'm trapped in a zoo, with buffalo poo“
我還被關在這個有水牛池子的動物園裡
The elephant was very old and gray
灰色的大像已經很老很老了
And he had a huge balloon bottom
還有個超大的大象屁股
He said, Never fear Joshua
他說：“約書亞，你會看到幻像
For a vision will appear“
你不要害怕
That night a dream came to Joshua and
約書亞在那天晚上做了一個夢
Joshua saw animals, like crazy monkeys
他看到好多好多動物，比如瘋狂的猴子
And a whole pile of Hippypotostropasuses
還有一大群嬉皮士大河馬
And flitty moths
還有脂粉氣的飛蛾
frogs size twelve
腰圍71cm臀圍97.79cm的超超大青蛙
And sleazy lizards
還有邋遢的懶惰蜥蜴
And a tribe of nasty saviars
還有一族成群狩獵掠奪旅行者的超長體毛野蠻人
But Joshua wasn't afraid
但是我們的小約書亞一點都不害怕
Because he sang himself this song
他給自己唱了一首歌
Nothing can go wrong-o, I'm in the Congo
我可是在剛果哎，沒有任何事情會出問題的
But even in his dream he knew
但是即使是在夢裡他也知道
He'd never get away, not even for a day
他永遠沒有辦法離開這裡，就算一天也不可能
Then a peanut hit him on the nose
接著，一顆花生敲中了他的鼻子
Joshua Giraffe was back in the zoo
小約書亞回過神，發現自己又回到了動物園裡
What could he do
他又能做什麼呢
Awakened from his dream
從那個夢裡醒來
He'd never be the same
他再也不是以前的小約書亞了
Because of things he'd seen
因為那些他見過的事物
He'd seen
他看到了那些
Alligators, crocodiles, tree sloths
短吻鱷，大鱷魚，樹懶
Anacondas, cobras and large winged moths
森蚺，眼鏡蛇，大翅膀的撲楞蛾子
Orangutans, baboons eating grapes
在吃葡萄的猩猩和狒狒
Gibbons, rude mandrills and just plain apes
長臂猿，粗魯的山魈，還有普通的猿
But Joshua was lucky
但是小約書亞是一隻幸運的長頸鹿
He had some special friends
他有一些特別的朋友
And that day they went to the zoo
有一天，那些朋友來到動物園裡
He was up tight so they waited till the night
不過約書亞太緊張了，所以他們等到了晚上
And they chopped his cage in two
他們把約書亞的籠子劈成了兩半！
He discovered he could fly and
約書亞發現自己會飛
He soared into the sky with them
所以他咻一聲和他們一起飛上了高空
Wrapped around his neck
自由的空氣纏繞在他的頸部
And they haven't come back yet
到現在為止，他們還沒有回來過
So if you see them get a net
所以如果你看到他們，快去拿一張大網
That's right, they haven't come back yet
對啦！他們還沒有回來過！
But when they do, they say they are going to free all the animals from their cages

或者是在你的洗手盆裡轉圈圈的烏龜

Joshua Giraffe was born in a zoo
約書亞是隻長頸鹿
He lived there, too, for two years
住在他出生的動物園裡
And a half he hasn't had a bath
已經兩年半沒有洗過澡了！
