Absence

MUSIC, when soft voices die,
曼妙歌聲雖盡，
Vibrates in the memory;
記憶迴盪餘音；
Odours, when sweet violets sicken,
甜蜜的紫羅蘭凋零，
Live within the scent they quicken.
芳香在感覺裡甦醒。
Rose leaves, when the rose is dead,
玫瑰不再，
Are heapd for the beloveds bed;
花瓣簇擁愛人床畔；
And so thy thoughts, when thou art gone ,
你離開，
Love itself shall slumber on.
愛在你思緒中夢囈般呢喃。
