Lullaby

Sitting here at the window looking out upon the rain
Nothing much is coming to mind
Troubles all just float away
On a raindrop.
Turn and look into the fire
Warm and friendly as can be
Flames the flicker, oh so gently
Bringing comfort just for me
And it's lovely.
Time is slipping away
Pain belongs to yesterday
Needn't think of tomorrow ,
That will come - when it's time to come,
But for now, it's now that I am thinking of.
Sitting here at the window
Warm and cosy as can be
All the raindrops are dancing
And they're smiling up at me.
