Singing Grasshopper Gathering Ant

The bright moon of harvest is nigh
The air is crisp; an apple's first bite
The woolly bear is showing its stripes
The grasshopper sings while the ant gathers
I've been searching the sky
For some kind of sign
Can't change anything
How the colors would fade
With the light of the day

All too soon, my love
The fields are bursting with fruits
Migrant workers come to dig up the roots
